2 Dan Ryan Soph Midfield
A second year midfielder for the Indians who although injured early in the season showed he had the ability to step up and play the midfield position. Dan showed he had a nose for the ball and the net. He is expected to be one of the players who will be stepping up to fill the midfield positions lost through senior graduations.
6 Chris White Jr Goalie
Chris is one of the top goalies in the state. He is a two year starter for
7 Ryan Fraine Sr Defense/LM
Ryan, a second year varsity defenseman and longstick middie, provided a lot of
the spark on face-offs and defense. His 125 groundballs was second on the team and first among the defensemen. If there was a ball down you could be sure Ryan’s stick was around it. Ryan, an Assistant Captain, was also a 3 year varsity hockey player. His lacrosse play earned him Globe and Herald League All-Star and Sun Second Team honors. Ryan will be heading to
8 Peter Pinto Sr/Capt Defense
A senior third year varsity defenseman, Peter helped anchor
defense. His tenacious defense kept opposition offense away from theBillerica net minder. Peter was third among the defensive corps in grabbing groundballs. He was the third member of “Italian stallions” that terrorized the opponents. Peter’s defensive efforts gained him Globe and Herald League All-Star honors and Sun Second Team honors. As well as being an outstanding lacrosse player, Peter was also captain of the wrestling team. Peter will be attending
10 David Giordano Sr Midfield
A second year varsity midfielder helped solidify the midfield with his
heads-up play and ability to find the open field or open man on offense. Hewas in the top five among midfielders in points groundballs and assists. His efforts, a great example of senior leadership and dedication to winning, played a major role in this year’s championship. Besides roaming the mid-field for
11 Brian Carroll Sr Midfield
After picking up the game in his freshman year Brian was a two-year varsity starter. Brian’s 102 groundballs was second among the midfielders and he was fourth overall in goals, assists and points among midfielders. He was second on the team in face-offs with 97 of 171 for a 56% average. Brian’s speed and agility left the opposition defenders in his dust. Brian was selected as a Globe and Herald League All-Star, as well as, Sun Second team Besides lacrosse Brian captained the winter track team and anchored the cross country team. An outstanding student, Brian will be attending the U-Mass Amherst next fall.
12 Pat Roach Sr/Capt Midfield
A three year varsity lacrosse player, Pat was the face-off leader with a 179 of
274, a 65% rate. Pat also grabbed the “Hoover Award” for in groundballs with 150 snags. His offensive skills gain him the second slot in assists and third slot in goals among midfielders. His leadership was another example of the senior influence that helped bring the state championship to

A third year senior, who led the midfielders in assists with 29 and points with
52. Noted for his speed, stick skills and rugged play he proved to be a real weapon this year using in laser passes to set up the attack scores. Mike’s varsity letters include track and basketball. As a senior captain he provided the much needed leadership that led to the State Championships. Mike’s efforts gained him Globe and Herald All-Star and Sun Second Team status. He will be strutting his skills at
16 Ken Murnane Sr Midfield
Ken was a two-year midfielder who proved invaluable coming in backdoor after the face-offs and pressuring the opponent’s defense. Ken was fifth among the midfielders in shots, goals and takeaways. His senior leadership helped to spark the drive to the
18 Sean Ostler Jr Midfield
Even though Sean saw limited action he showed his potential grabbing four groundballs and scoring a goal with his two shots. Coaches are looking forward to seeing Sean’s improvement next year. Sean is a two year member of the varsity squad.
19 Marc Colangelo Soph Defense/LM
Marc is a first year varsity defenseman who showed a lot of potential. Using his speed and stick skills he proved to be a valuable asset on the defense end of the field. His 19 groundballs and speed will be put to good use next season at longstick middie and defense.
20 Joe Venezia Soph Defense
The rookie member of the “Italian Stallions” proved himself to be a top notch defender. His tenacious defense gained him a team tying leadership in penalties, but made him a feared defenseman among the opposition. Joe constantly knocked the opposition offense off its game. He was fifth overall in takeaways and fourth in groundballs among the defense. For his efforts he received honorable mention in the
21 Keith Yianacopolus Soph Midfield
Only a sophomore, Keith, a two year varsity member, was one of the offensive leaders on the midfield lines. He was fourth in overall goals and fifth in total points for the year. His lightning speed and quick shot took many opposition goaltenders by surprise. Not only was he important on offense he was also a tough midfield defender. For his offensive talents he was chosen a Sun Honorable Mention and a member of the Bay State Games team. Keith will make up a big part of next year’s lacrosse offense.
22 Phil Oliveria Sr Goalie
Phil provided much needed senior leadership even though he was in the unenviable position of being the backup goalie. He would have been the starting goalie on many of the teams

24 Joe Panniello Sr/Capt Defense
Joe was the heart and soul of the defense. He is considered one of the best defensive men in the state. The opposition’s top scorers were always his job, a job he did well. Joe was third in groundballs and first in takeaways. His work gained him Globe and Herald All-Scholastic honors, as well as, Sun All-Scholastic and the Coaches’ All-Scholastic. Joe captained the varsity football squad. It will be the hardest task to find someone to take the place of this senior member of the “Italian Stallions.” Next fall Joe will be defending the opposition at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
25 Mike Donovan Jr Attack
Mike is the second part of the high scoring attack line affectionately known as the “Three Amigos”. Although hurt for part of the season, Mike was able to pile up some impressive numbers, raking third in goals scored, second in assists and second overall in points. Mike took on the role of set-up and goal scorer when the other attackmen were be hounded. Besides lacrosse, Mike is also a starter on the varsity hockey team. Because of his efforts he was selected as a Globe and Herald League All-Star and Sun Second Team member. Mike also played for the Northeast Bay State Team this year.
26 Pat McNamara Jr Attack
Picking up the game just recently, Pat surprised most people with his offensive play. The third member of the “Three Amigos”, he is better known to his other two compatriots as the “Crease Monkey”, The goalies never notice Pat sitting on their doorstep until it too late and he has put one past them. He was second in goals scored and third overall in total points. It was Pat’s offense that helped the Amigos garner 163 goals and 271 total points. For his efforts Pat was selected to the Globe and Herald League All-Stars and the Sun Second Team. Next year should see even more improvement.
27 Jeff Keefe Jr Midfield
Even in the limited playing time Jeff got, he showed that he has a nose for the ball with nine groundballs and the net with his two goals. Good speed and tough play will be getting him more playing time next year. Besides lacrosse, Jeff is a member of the varsity soccer team.
28 Phil O’Loughlin So Defense
Phil’s play at defense helped the defense greatly. His twenty groundballs showed his hustle and ability to get the ball in his stick, Phil will be seeing more playing time next season as he is expected to fill in the holes left by departing seniors. Besides lacrosse. Phil was a member of the varsity football team.
29 Jim McHugh Jr Defense
Jim played an important part in the defense. A two year varsity defenseman, he proved to be a tough defender taking on many players bigger than him. He was able to grab 40 groundballs, which was fourth among the defender corps. Jim will be a big part of next year’s defensive squad.
30 Eric Jenkins Jr Attack
While Eric did not see a lot of playing minutes, while he was in there he made it count. Of the five shots he had he netted four. His 19 groundballs were impressive numbers that will be needed next year. Eric has a great sense of where the ball is and when he gets it in his stick he is a tough man to get the ball away from.
